Leigh Griffiths got what every striker needs against Partick Thistle yesterday, a goal. The striker wasn’t really in the game until he hit the back of the net, you could see what the goal did for the player as he became a focal point for a lot of Celtic’s attacking play.
Neil Lennon said in his pre-match interviews yesterday that Leigh had trained well in Dubai and was hungry for some game time. The Celtic manager surprised a few fans when the team sheet came out that had Griffiths & Edouard starting together.
You could see the relief and delight the way his goal was celebrated. Post-match and not for the first time the century Bhoy had to come out and bat away social media trolls who had been putting the boot in while the Scotland International was out injured.

Hopefully, this is the start of a run for the player, the only way to silence these idiots is doing what he did yesterday, score goals, win games and lift even more trophies.
