CELTIC defender has tonight’s arrived in Israel as he finalises his permanent Parkhead exit.

The player’s agent posted an emotional reunion between Hatem and his son at the airport upon his arrival.

The player couldn’t settle in Glasgow, less than a year into his Celtic career, the pandemic hit. His wife couldn’t get a working visa living in Scotland and went back to Israel with their son while Elhamed stayed out in Glasgow.

The isolation of many players living on their own in unfamiliar countries during the pandemic is a real issue and something us fans fail to remember.

The move back to Israel was the best for Hatem and his family and best for Celtic. If the player is unsettled, it’s much better to let them leave than stick around.

We wish Hatem all the best for them future. The defender was an absolute gentleman while he was here.
