ROD STEWART added Grace to his repertoire of songs after hearing it belted out by the Celtic faithful inside Celtic Park. Now he sings it every gig and we’ll just about anywhere he can get away with it.

The Irish love song regularly plays over the tannoys of Celtic Park these days and a video emerged from the Celtic underground account tonight of Rod leading Celtic chairman Ian Bankier and Peter Lawwell in a rendition of the song.

Rod Stewart regularly mixes with the Celtic board and has his own seat for life at Celtic Park. The singer was in Lazio on Thursday night to watch the bhoys in action alongside the chief executive.

The Irish live song named after Joseph Plunkett’s partner Grace Gifford. The pair married hours before Joseph was executed for his part in the 1916 Easter rising. A beautiful song.
