A clip has made its way on to Twitter of a moment in yesterday’s game, which saw Scott Brown school two former rivals.

When the Celtic captain picks up the ball, he is instantly pressed by the former Rangers duo of Andy Haliday and Steven Naismith. Despite the pressure, Brown produces a brilliant piece of skill, to take both players out the game and find midfield partner Callum McGregor.

In the first half of yesterday’s game, the 35-year old really rolled back the years with his performance, dominating the game and winding up the likes of Naismith, with the Hearts attacker admitting his frustration to Brown antagonising him throughout which saw him on the end of a dubious stamp and elbow.

The performance dropped off from the Hoops in second-half and onwards but Brown continued to have an impact on the game. His headed effort towards goal, led to the third goal, as Leigh Griffiths was quickest to react to the ball in the box.

His playing time may be getting shorter as time goes on this season, but it is undoubted the impact he still has on both our side of things but also winding up the rest of Scottish Football.

That is why he will go down as a Celtic legend, lifting the 22nd trophy of his career in the Green and White hoops.
