CELTIC left it to the last game of the Europa campaign to grab a win but it was about time and the bhoys put up a real fighting spirit to make sure they grabbed the victory at Celtic Park.

We lead three times in the game but were pegged back twice. The first goal was a mistake by McGregor and the second Lille goal was a fantastic strike by Timo Weah who caught it on the volley.

With the game finely posied at 2-2 and Lille pushing for the win, Celtic and their young players dug deep and came up with a bit of magic. First from Kristoffer Ajer who showed fantastic footwork to get down the wing and then Turnbull who anticipated the cut back and placed it into the back of the net for the winner.

Just have a look at this.

  1. Good run, nifty footwork, but we got lucky as he sclaffed that cross! Thank God for Turnbull being sharp and on it right away, hopefully the start of a touch of confidence returning to the team…
