The atmosphere at Celtic Park after the final whistle was a jarring experience for many fans who are unaccustomed to such scenes.

Celtic fans celebrate winning the cup

Fans made their displeasure abundantly clear, as boos and jeers filled the air.

In a surprising move, the team and manager Brendan Rodgers decided to do a lap around the park to acknowledge the fans. However, the gesture backfired as fans continued to boo their efforts.

The tension reached a boiling point when the players and Rodgers approached the Green Brigade—a group of ardent supporters. Several fans had stayed behind to give the players an unfiltered piece of their minds regarding the day’s performance.

With a crucial match against Rangers at Ibrox on the horizon, Celtic will need to quickly refocus. It’s a pivotal game not just for the team, but also for Rodgers, who could benefit from a strong result to relieve some of the mounting pressure on him.

Off the pitch, it promises to be an equally significant week for Celtic. The transfer window is rapidly closing, and the club is keen to bolster its squad with quality additions. The countdown is on, and the next few days could be defining for the season ahead.

  1. Mmmmm, if these so called (Sic) Supporters, think they can play any better. They would be wearing the Hoopz . No watchin ( boo’ing) the Hoopz.

Although I bid them the right to right wrongs, but boo’ing the team they normally are vicariously supporting, is beyond the pale.

I once turned nasty to a group of fellow supporters who were booing Neil Lennon. Ok it wasn’t his most best passing, he made mistakes that caused two goals (in a home game that Celtic drew). He gave his all, for the Hoops. But some people (Me included) can get the red mist, and usually calm down and see sense.

  2. No cutting edge coming of yhe wings nothing through middle who is spending the so called biggest budget that no other no ever celtic manger has had most of them are like players that the club want to develop to sell on 6 days left of the transfer window if we get players in selling clubs know and will want top price for them iv got to wonder if uncle Peter has a hand in this 🤔 could be unrest in yhe dressing room dunno but it needs sorting and fast rodgers hasn’t become bad manger overnight

  3. Its ridiculous doing the lap of honour, or whatever it is, after a result/performance like that today.
A bit of self-awareness wouldn’t go amiss. Everyone is cheesed off, just get off the park quietly without fuss.

  4. The Green Brigade should be allowed in for free as they are the only fans who prevent Parkhead stadium from becoming a library.
    Green Bigade = 2-3k+ heroes.
Old Fogeys = 51k entitled board suckers.
Get rid of the all-seating all-season-ticket trap laid by Maggie Thatcher, David Murray, Graeme Souness and later Fergus McCann to turn football fans into obedient sheep which has spread to wider society.
Thatcher`s plan working as she knew it would.
Liverpool fans visited Parkhead to see the safe-standing area and they largely said that Hillsborough disaster was deliberate killing 97 souls and being used to all-seat football stadiums because Thatcher could not handle England National teams hooligan fans so she all-seated ALL fans and turned football fans into entitled snobs, apart from the Green Brigade magnificent heroes.

  5. It wasn’t just the green brigade who were booing the lap of dishonour !
I have been supporting celtic for more years than l care to remember and l have never seen such anger.
This was not a sense of entitlement,it was unbridled fury at a board and management that are deliberately sabotaging the club to ensure the Old Firm Franchise survives.
The moment we allowed that parasitic bastard Lawwell back in the building the writing way on the wall.
We then compound the error of our ways by bringing back a treacherous rhat who left us like a thief in the night who has applied a handbrake on a runaway juggernaut.
We were promised a team to be proud of in Europe and couldn’t beat a team who recently lost 4-0 to Stirling Alboin !!
Until we cleanse ourselves of these people in charge of decision making at our club we will be forever consigned to the back of the bus.
They are happy to play their role in this corrupt league just for their own personal gain at the expense of our great club and supporters.
Hell mend them, this is just the start cos they ain’t seen nothing yer !!
