CELTIC B brushed aside Partick Thistle in the Glasgow Cup on Wednesday afternoon.

First team players were amongst the goals as they fought for a place in Postecoglou’s team selections.

Celtic went 1-0 up after the keeper saved Karamoko’s effort, but Jonny Kenny was there to head in the rebound. The side doubled their advantage after Dembele controlled the ball sweetly before messing around with the opposition’s defence and slotting it in the far corner.

A curling shot from Mikey Johnston put the hoops three goals to the good. Dembele got his second of the afternoon and Celtic’s third of the day after his attempt from outside the box hit the top corner. To finish the scoring, Joey Dawson scraped the ball over the line.

It was great to see the young players play so well, especially Jonny Kenny and Karamoko Dembele.

Kenny will hope that his performance is enough to earn recognition from Postecoglou as he looks to make his first appearance in green and white.

With eight games of the season left, Karamoko Dembele will be looking to make an impact. His future is still up in the air, with the club set to meet with the player and his representatives.
