For those of us who can still remember, Aaron mooy has played in Scottish football before with Paisley side St Mirren.

A young Aaron with a head full of hair played for the SPFL side between 2010 and 2012.

During his time with the club, he managed to get a goal against Rangers, something the official SPFL account wanted to remind people of on Tuesday after Aaron signed on the dotted line for Celtic.

Aaron would eventually move back to Austrlia where he would stay until Manchester City came calling. The city group link bringing him to the Etihad, however, it was a deal in essence to turn a profit with the midfielder loaned out to Huddersfield who eventually signed him on a permanent deal.

Mooy now gets the chance to play under Ange Postecoglou once again. The pair know each other well from their Socceroos days. Aaron knowing what the manager wants out of him from the get go will only benefit the bhoys.

Here’s hoping he has some more goals in him against a side emanating out of Ibrox.
