Saint Johnstone set the Champions up today for a beautiful Sunday as they held the second-placed Gers to a 2-2 draw earlier today. Things did not go to plan for the Bhoys as Killie won a penalty within the first few minutes to put the visitors one up.

But as the Hoops put the pressure on Kris Ajer pulled one back just before the half-hour mark before Edouard gave the Bhoys a 2-1 lead just five minutes later.

Kilmarnock have not won in their last 12 visits to Celtic Park but Neil Lennon will need his team to turn the screw in the second half and put this game to bed. The champions have enjoyed a lot of possession and only for a few good saves from the Killie keeper this game could be over already.

Neil Lennon would not mind some early goals in the second half so he can rest one or two players ahead of Thursday nights massive Europa League game against Copenhagen.
