COPENHAGEN knocked Celtic out of the Europa League on Thursday night and probably couldn’t believe their luck at the opportunities they were given on the night.
The Danes were the underdogs and when they scored their second goal after Celtic’s equaliser, they rightfully charged towards their support. The police presence at the side of the pitch was unusually high and when the players ran over, you can see Michael Santos shoving a policeman over.
The game continued and Celtic were knocked out of the competition.
It has transpired this morning that the player has subsequently been charged with assault over the incident and a Copenhagen coach has also been charged.
Wasn’t just Celtic that Santos knocked out tonight ?♂️ hahaha pic.twitter.com/mC58nOP9ET

We appreciate that knocking over a police officer is worthy of a charge but perhaps look at the situation as a whole. It’s not a good look for Police Scotland to be charging footballers but Santos should have known better, we’ll see how this pans out.
