Popular Liverpool website AnfieldHQ are rightfully excited about their upcoming trip to the Camp Nou where a place in the Champions League final awaits either Liverpool or Barcelona.

The English Premier League side are flying high in the Champions League and the Premier League – having a legitimate shot of landing both trophies before all is said and done.

One of their star performers Virgil van Dijk is a big reason the Anfield side have been so successful this year. They may have paid the largest ever transfer fee for a defender but it seems like money well spent with the Dutchman coming up big for his side on many occasions.

It’s been highlighted by AnfieldHQ that Virgil van Dijk is not exactly a stranger to the Camp Nou – having played there once before with Celtic and the video which has gone viral shows the defender bossing some Barcelona players in the famous hoops. Great to see! The only problem is, this was the game where Celtic were blown away 6-1 in Spain.

Unlike some previous visits to the stadium where Celtic even got a draw or were beaten at the death by a late goal, this was a result which was hard to watch for Celtic supporters.

Virgil played OK on the night but it’s hardly a video to share and get people hyped for his return to Barcelona. We’re sure the defender will have learned from his first trip and going with a stronger squad will help!

It’s giving us the fear seeing Derk Boerigtter on the pitch for Celtic at the Camp Nou!
