A very shaky start for many on the virtual season ticket holders on Sunday with the club’s technical team scrambling in the first 30 minutes to sort out issues which locked many fans out.

There were lots who said they didn’t have a problem but there was plenty who missed the first two goals because of the difficulties.

After around the 30-minute mark, Celtic put out a youtube feed so people could watch the game. The club then seemed to get to grips with the volume of sign-ins before the first half came to an end.

There’s certainly work to be done, not a great start but these games were set up in order to test the service. The club will have the chance to really get things right tomorrow and give supporters some confidence they won’t miss any action when the proper games start.

Celtic are scheduled to play their first competitive game since March on August 2nd.

  1. I have to say I had no problems.
I followed the advice given to test the site out on Friday and today I saw the whole match with no buffering or problems.

    • I tested it on Friday and couldn’t get in today. I missed both goals and ended up watching on Celtic tv until half time. Doesn’t fill me with confidence for the start of the season.

  2. After messaging them, I received THIRTEEN emails from them saying “logout and back in”. Is tech support run by The IT Crowd?
We’ll probably need friendlies right up till Friday to get this right.
