Alexandro Bernabei found the back of the net in Internacional’s 2-2 draw against Corinthians, as the Argentine left-back continues to make the most of his loan spell away from Celtic.

Bernabei’s 17th-minute strike took a heavy deflection, but it was his forward drive and positioning that led to the goal, showcasing the attacking flair he’s shown glimpses of.

After struggling for game time at Celtic, Bernabei’s move to Internacional appears to be paying off. Since his March loan switch, he has made 14 appearances for the Brazilian Serie A side, who are currently sitting in sixth place. While his start in Brazil was challenging—missing out on several matchday squads and seeing limited action—Bernabei has now settled in, earning more minutes and impressing both the coaching staff and fans with his performances.
Despite his resurgence in form, it’s unlikely that Bernabei will get another opportunity at Celtic when he returns this winter. With Greg Taylor firmly established as first-choice left-back and Alex Valle emerging as a promising option, the Argentine may face stiff competition for a spot in the squad.
Nonetheless, his loan spell is working wonders, allowing him to play regular football in a top league and regain confidence. Whether his future lies at Celtic or elsewhere, Bernabei will be keen to maintain his current form.
