CELTIC smashed past Hearts on a defining night in the title race on Wednesday night.

The bhoys had a sluggish and slow start to the game but they grew in confidence more and more. Going it at the break 1-0 thanks to Olivier Ntcham scoring the rebound from Odsonne Edouard’s shot.

The second half commenced and whatever Neil Lennon said at the break must have lit a fire, it was 2-0 very quickly thanks to Christopher Jullien who adds another goal to his tally for the season. The bhoys were in scary form after this and started to play exhibition football at times. Celtic’s third coming from a great move started by Ntcham and finished off by Callum McGregor.

There was still time for two more goals and a red card. Ryan Christie came off the bench to tuck one away before Marcel Langer was sent off for the visitors; a wild lunge on Scott Brown meant Collum had no other option.

As news filtered through about the Killie result, Jozo Simunovic would make it five on the night.
