Shane Duffy has delivered once again for Neil Lennon in only his second game for Celtic. Anyone who knew anything about the defender before he signed for the champions knew he liked a goal from dead-ball situations.

It looks like the Derry man is right at home and is not taking any time to settle in with his new club. Ryan Christie teed the ball up from a free-kick and Duffy was always going to bury this.

The big defender’s goal only brought Celtic level as Mirren had scored a similar goal in the first two minutes. Just we hit the publish button on this a very rare James Forrest header put the Hoops 2-1 up.

So the first half has had three headed goals. Neil Lennon will not be happy with the amount of balls St. Mirren are getting into the Celtic box and they are causing the Celtic defence some problems. Celtic’s attacking players need to come into the game more in the second half.
