Celtic took five minutes before they got a foothold in the game with the visitors getting on the front foot from the first whistle.

Then Carter Vickers and McGregor both had half chances as the Bhoys looked to pick up from where they left off on Tuesday.

Up until the 25th minute and there were 4-5 decent low balls put into the box by Jota and Kyogo that always seemed to land at opposition defenders feet. No real chances at goal but it’s all Celtic now.

On the 34th minute, Greek striker Giakoumakis scored his first Celtic goal in his first start much to the delight of the massive home crowd. Ralston with the assist here to give the Celts a one-goal lead.

The second half started as the first ended, Celtic without any real clear cut chances but all the possession.

Callum McGregor seemed to be involved in absolutely everything today. The Celtic captain ran from box to box with unexplainable energy. The Celtic skipper had a shot saved in the first half and nearly had a shot deflected over Zander Clark just before the hour mark.

With 15 minutes left the Kyogo and Jota partnership sparked into life when the two linked up from the halfway line up to the away teams box and a last-ditch tackle stopped Jota.

Five minutes later the two linked up again to walk through defenders but this time Kyogo got fouled in the box to give Celtic a penalty. The returning Juranovic stepped up to give Celtic a two-goal cushion.
