Luis Palma’s tap-in proved the difference between Celtic and English champions Manchester City in a seven-goal thriller in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
The Hoops showed some encouraging signs in the victory, playing a wealth of attractive, attacking football which broke through City on several occasions.
All of Celtic’s goals were impressive, with Nicolas Kuhn, Kyogo Furuhashi, and Palma all getting on the scoresheet.
Post-match, the latter was speaking to several journalists in his native Spanish.
Rodgers walked by and hilariously interrupted Palma’s presser, quipping ‘El estrella, el estrella’, which translates to ‘The star, the star’:

Although he contributed towards 20 goals in all competitions during his first season at Celtic, Palma has several improvements to make going into his second year at the club.
Rodgers recently asked him to press more and elevate the technical side of his game.
Much like Kuhn, with a full pre-season behind his back, it will be intriguing to see what the Honduran can conjure up in 2024/25.
