CELTIC Fans can be proud of the team’s performance on Thursday night against Rennes as the team got a more than credible draw against a Rennes side who are currently second in Ligue one.

The Celtic team never looked out of place against the French side and were looking good until Kristoffer Ajer has a moment of madness and conceded a penalty before half time.

The bhoys could have crumbled after that setback but they kept plugging away and should have had a penalty when Ryan Christie was pulled down in the box – The Spanish ref waving play on.

Five minutes later Celtic would get a penalty when James Forrest’s quick feet outwitted the Rennes defence and he was brought down in the box. Christie converted the penalty and Celtic we’re back level.

The Celtic supporter liaison officer John Paul captured the fans as Christie hit the back of the net.

Magic.
