Celtic were deserved 1-0 victors on a sunny Sunday afternoon at Ibrox. Kyogo Furuhashi’s volley was enough to secure all three points for the Hoops in a standout display from the champions.
All over the park, there were sufficient performers in green and white. Whether it be Liam Scales at the back, Callum McGregor in midfield or Kyogo up top, every man stood up and was counted.
When the full-time whistle sounded, all that could be heard in Govan were boos. The home support clearly wasn’t happy with their team’s performance, and rightly so.
In the Celtic camp, however, there were jubilant scenes. The Bhoys were given a new lease of life when they secured victory, and their shouts when they walked up the tunnel at Ibrox were amusing yet passionate at the same time.
Right-winger Liel Abada quipped ‘Vamos’ meanwhile Matt O’Riley said ‘Love it, boys!’. Perhaps defender Anthony Ralston was the most entertaining of them all as he shouted: “Love that, f***ing love that, YES!”. The video can be viewed below:

For everyone involved with the club, today’s result was memorable. Slight underdogs going into the game with a depleted squad, the Bhoys came through and showed sheer resilience and the mentality of champions to secure victory.
