The darts and football worlds collided on Sportbible with the Euros in full swing this week.

Darts professionals Luke Littler and Michael Smith were caught off-guard during a Euro-themed football trivia quiz.

The Sportbible quiz, which involved players throwing darts at a map to guess the nationality of football stars, presented them with the challenge of identifying the country of Celtic midfielder Matt O’Riley.

Michael Smith quickly stepped back, confessing his lack of football knowledge, leaving the floor to Luke ‘The Nuke’ Littler, the Premier League darts sensation. Littler, misled by O’Riley’s surname name, made a confident guess by throwing his dart at Ireland on the map, which turned out to be incorrect. Smith followed suit, equally unsuccessful.

The host eventually had to step in to provide a hint, and later revealed that O’Riley was in fact Danish, much to the bemusement of the dart-throwing duo.

This amusing mix-up left the darts stars red-faced.
