Former Celtic coach Damien Duff, now the manager of League of Ireland side Shelbourne, provided a little laugh during a recent match after hilariously slipping on the sidelines while celebrating.

The 41-year-old, who left Celtic in 2020 after a successful spell, was so caught up in the moment that he took a tumble, landing on his backside. True to form, Duff quickly got back to his feet, hoping nobody noticed, and continued celebrating as if nothing had happened.

Duff, who played a key role in helping Celtic secure the treble treble and a ninth consecutive Scottish Premiership title under Neil Lennon, has maintained his energetic and passionate presence in management. Since leaving Celtic to focus on his Republic of Ireland coaching role in 2020, he’s continued his career back in his homeland, bringing the same intensity that endeared him to Hoops fans.

He was well-liked by the fan base in Glasgow.

His stint at Celtic, which he described as the “best year and a half” of his career, saw him work closely with Lennon from February 2019, playing a pivotal role in one of the club’s most dominant eras.

He left Glasgow and returned to Ireland to focus on being a father to his children, and has continued his coaching roles in the country.
