It was a good weekend for Celtic, another three points in the bag and their Glasgow rivals slipped up in Edinburgh meaning the club are now one point off the top with a game in hand.

Celtic won 3-2 against Livingston, putting pressure on their rivals ahead of their Sunday kick-off. The pressure told and in the end, they managed just a point in the capital.

The story of the day, however, was off the field. Kris Boyd dropped all pretence he was a pundit to become a full-blown cheerleader on the mic for his old club. He was visibly and audibly rattled as he tried to explain a Hibs player should be sent off for a very innocuous challenge. Former Celtic player, Andy Walker, who doesn’t have many fans left at Celtic Park, broke from his usual cadence to heckle Boyd during his meltdown

Sky Sports continues to come under heavy criticism for their use of some pundits. If anyone believes it’s just Celtic supporters having a problem with former rival players on the mic, nobody was calling for Ally McCoist to simmer down this afternoon, he tends to be more level headed.
