Celtic fans watched enough footage of Marian Shved’s goals last season to get excited about him joining up with the Celtic team in the summer. The Ukrainian youngster made his competitive debut tonight from the bench and got straight in among the goals with a sweet finish.

The tricky winger nearly scored minutes earlier after only coming on for Lewis Morgan. Celtic were already one up after Leigh Griffiths tapped home in the first half. Celtic put five past Kalju last week at Celtic Park which gave Neil Lennon a chance to tinker with his starting 11.

Celtic could have had a few more goals tonight and there was some nice dominating play for the Hoops with their performance just missing some goals. This round of qualifiers witnessed Celtic score seven goals and concede zero over the two legs.

The competition is just about to heat up now with Celtic facing Dan Petrescu’s CFR Cluj of Romania for round three.
