Higgins, who had just secured his own place in the quarter-finals of the World Snooker Championship after a tense 13-12 victory, was quick to acknowledge Celticโ€™s success during his post-match interview.

When prompted by the interviewer about Celticโ€™s title win coinciding with his triumph on the baize, Higgins took the perfect opportunity to poke fun at Rangers. With a grin, he quipped: โ€œI think thatโ€™s them 54 titles ahead of our rivals.โ€

It was a typically sharp-witted response from the Wishaw-born four-time world champion, who has never hidden his love for the Hoops.

Higgins’ comment quickly made waves among Celtic fans on social media, many enjoying the added sparkle to a day already filled with celebrations following the 5-0 demolition of Dundee United at Tannadice.

It was the fourth time that Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic have won the league with a 5-0 win, quite an impressive stat.

As Celtic continue to dominate the domestic scene and Higgins keeps his hopes alive at the Crucible, itโ€™s clear the snooker star is enjoying every moment of the clubโ€™s latest success. His cheeky jibe only adds to the feel-good factor among the green and white.
