He inevitably got one wrong when it came to Brendan Rodgers with the former Manchester Utd, Real and Chelsea boss certain a football manager didn’t utter the quote.

Brendan Rodgers did used to regale us with his musings that we all lapped up as he led us to a double treble. It becomes a bit funnier once he’s left and you have no obligation to defend these kind of quotes that wouldn’t look out of place in a depressing pound land Christmas cracker.
