Former Celtic winger Jota has not endured the best time since leaving the club for Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia. He was not included in the side’s squad for the Saudi Pro League but gave his manager Nuno a reminder of his presence with a goal on Sunday.
Al-Ittihad took on Al-Wehda in a friendly match, and the flamboyant Portuguese wide-man netted the sole goal of the game. After receiving the ball inside the box, Jota finished into the bottom left corner:

The goal was only the second the 24-year-old has scored for his team but he has struggled with injury and a lack of minutes. It comes amid news that Ange Postecoglou, who initially brought Jota to Glasgow, is interested in offering him a lifeline at Spurs.
It is said that the EPL league leaders are ‘poised’ to propose a loan deal for the man who was a hit at Celtic. Over two years at the club, Jota won five trophies and made 83 appearances, scoring 28 goals and assisting 26.
He was a key asset at Parkhead, but he simply couldn’t turn down the financial additives of a move to the Middle East. Footballing-wise, things haven’t worked out for Jota at Al-Ittihad, though.
Going forward, it will be hoped the treble-winner can find an escape route and get his footballing career back on track because his natural talent and ability is pleasing to watch and next to none.
Sounds like a game from during Covid when there was no fans in the stadium.. what a rubbish league
Jota F, is paid to train in the starlight, and when not on the bench to lay in the starlight and lap up all its vitamin D+ goodness.
Why would he want to come back and be booted up his arse in any league and get some medals?? it’s a very moot point.
I would just top up my all year around tan, wear my kaftan and go on multiple camel safaris in the desert.
If I were Jf.
