Nicolas Kuhn has added to Celtic’s lead, with the Hoops now 2-0 up against St Johnstone at Celtic Park.

The German winger has netted his first goal at Celtic Park in the 46th minute, having previously scored against Aberdeen at Pittodrie in February.

Kyogo Furuhashi found himself free down the left-hand side after a Greg Taylor through ball over the St Johnstone defence and was able to play a wonderful driven cross along the box, which found Kuhn.

Kuhn tapped the ball past Dimitar Mitov in the St Johnstone net, arguably scoring the easiest goal of his career, with Kyogo doing all the hard work for him with the cross.

Kuhn and Kyogo are certainly beginning to form a formidable partnership.

With each player’s ability to score and assist, it adds to the unpredictability factor for opposition defences.

Kuhn was written off by some, but today against St Johnstone and last weekend against Livingston, he has proved that he brings a different dimension to the Celtic starting 11.

With Yang Hyun-jun in great form before his suspension, it means that for the first time this season, Celtic have competition on the right, with James Forrest also assisting Kyogo against Livingston.

Despite it looking like Celtic were struggling to create chances from wide for much of the season, Yang and Kuhn each pose different strengths, meaning that the Hoops now have the ability to change games in how they attack from wide areas.
