Liam Henderson may be on his second Italian club in under a year but the midfielder is thriving in the environment.

The former Celtic youth star who moved to Bari in January made an unexpected move to Hellas Verona after Bari became insolvent.

The Scottish midfielder got his first Serie B goal of the season and his goal helped the club stay just a point off the top.

The midfielder was never really given a proper chance at Celtic but Brendan Rodgers let the player go when he asked if he could move on back in January.

At just 22-years of age, the player has played in Scotland, Norway and Italy.

Henderson’s set pieces can be devastating, and it was a huge reason why Hibernian won the Scottish Cup a few years back with the player swinging in the last minute corner that put the whole team into Easter Road folklore.

With Verona pushing for promotion, is it just a matter of time before a Scot graces the Serie A again.
