Versatile Los Angeles FC man Mateusz Bogusz has been widely linked with a move to Celtic over the past 24 hours.
After the Hoops initially entered talks with the MLS side to sign Bogusz, reports late last night stated they are closing in on an £8m deal for the 23-year-old, whose birthday is today.
And Bogusz gave himself an early present overnight as he opened the scoring in his side’s 4-0 thumping of Colorado in the MLS.
Playing on the left side of a front three, the Pole curled a wonderful strike into the bottom right corner from just outside the box:

This is just a glimpse of what Bogusz can bring to Celtic. His goal last night now takes his 2024 tally to 17. He has picked up six assists along the way, too.
Versatile, it is no surprise to hear of the Scottish champions’ interest in the attack-minded midfielder. Brendan Rodgers will be hoping his club can wrap up this deal soon.
