Celtic have grabbed a very early lead against Motherwell after a pinpoint corner kick from David Turnbull met the head of Celtic academy player Stephen Welsh who buried the ball in the back of the net.

The bhoys are looking to make it back to back wins after beating Kilmarnock 4-0 ON Tuesday and they’ve got off to a great start here.

Welsh has come into the team and done well so far, he will not have done his chances of continuing this run in the team with his goal this afternoon.

The league might be gone but bringing the likes of Welsh through the ranks and giving him first team experience for next season is an absolute must.

The youngster has been in and out of the side, used sparingly to this point, hopefully a run now will make a huge difference to the lad’s confidence.

Fingers crossed there are more goals for Celtic in this game.
