CELTIC are very close to completing a deal for American left back Andrew Gutman as they ramp up their transfer window up yet another notch according to reports.
The defender who spent time on trial at Ibrox last month apparently turned down an offer to play for Steven Gerrard’s men and returned to the states.
However, Celtic have been scouring Andrew and are now in a position to bring him in. We reported this morning the player dropped the biggest hint about where he was going by following the club on social media; something Timothy Weah and Bayo done before they were announced.
The 22-Year-old has just won the top College footballer in the US award and has been making waves in his country.

Rodgers did admit this would be more of a project should Gutman come into the club. Kieran Tierney is obviously first choice left back.
