Scott Sinclair has been the main scapegoat at Celtic for the past two seasons anytime results don’t go the right way. He probably brought it on himself with his first scintillating season and the bar been set so high.

One thing you can never say about the winger is he never ever goes hiding. On the weekend he missed a peno, a sitter and still managed to walk off the park with a brace (that should have been a hat-trick). After his penalty was saved he still ran to take the ball tonight against St Mirren at Paradise.

The Englishman put away his 10th goal of the season (In all comps) tonight. Sinclair’s overall play in the first half looks like the Scotty of old. He might have had a bit of a bad patch earlier in the season but he looks to have turned a corner and is playing with a renewed energy.

Oliver Burke managed to get his first Celtic goal too tonight, just before Sinclair’s penalty.

  1. Scott Sinclair has deserved most of the criticism aimed at him from the fans because he has been terrible for most of the last 18 months.
He found some form in December, and has started January well, so fingers crossed for him.
He was excellent tonight, and respect to him for stepping up with the penalty after two bad penalty misses already this season.
