Social media is a funny old thing, it can be good, great and not so great but when I came across things like the video below, it genuinely brings a smile to my face.

Having happened upon this video of Celtic celebrating their first league title in ten years but most importantly stopping ten in a row, I was taken straight back to the moment it all happened.

The emotion, the tension, the relief as Harold Brattback added to Henrik Larsson’s early opener to ensure Celtic won the league on the last day of the season was something to behold.

As a young lad that day, it was the first time I had seen my club lift the league, little did I know there were plenty more to come but on that day I witnessed grown men weeping, an outpouring of nine years of frustration in which the club could have ceased to exist.

That day, was our day and how did we celebrate? By singing our beloved anthem.

I don’t think there has been a more emotionally charged ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ at Celtic Park like it. Sure, we have been louder but that, with the full stadium not even built yet, we sang our hearts out and we cancelled all the ten in a row party’s that had the champagne on ice. Smell the glove!
