MIKAEL LUSTIG left Celtic in the summer after eight seasons with the Scottish champions.

The Swede grew up with his partner Josefin in Glasgow as they turned from kids to adults during his time at Celtic. Mikael was almost in tears on the Hampden pitch as he was asked if that was his last game for Celtic – we know now it was but at the time things were still up in the air.

Mikael’s wife Josefin chronicled their last days in Glasgow on a video she released to Youtube over the weekend.

Mikael couldn’t do a deal with the Celtic board and moved to Gent on a three-year deal.

The defender came in a relative unknown and left an icon for his contributions to the club both on the field and as a character.

Mikael can genuinely be known as a Celtic supporter now as he watched from afar and this video is a great insight into the player’s life as his Celtic adventure came to an end.
