Alistair Johnston has become a firm fan favourite since joining the club in January.
The Canadian has been a breath of fresh air both on and off the pitch. His no-nonsense approach to playing has won over the support, and his brilliant demeanour off the park further enhances his likeability.
One of the images of the season HAS to be of Alistair on crutches dancing up and down with the Celtic support after he had gone off injured in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup at Hampden. The right-back helped his side to a Scottish cup final place but had to go off after picking up a knock.
Speaking about that moment on Celtic Youtube, the defender claimed the physios were a bit madder than the manager when it came to his Hampden celebrations:
“The physios were a bit madder than the manager.”

Speaking about the bhoys clinching the title at Tynecastle, the Celtic star revealed there was a bit of back and forth between Celtic players and Hearts fans behind the dugout. “It was a special day (then) especially at Tynecastle, to clinch the title there. It was pretty good, there was quite a little group of us behind the bench and quite into it, we had a little bit of verbal jousting going on with some fans there as well.

“We had a good time, and of course, we were just happy that the guys on the pitch managed to deliver and take us to that back-to-back league title”
I’m sure the Hearts fans were respectful and kept it clean! Aye, right!
Celtic won their 53rd title in their unbroken history against the Jambos two weeks ago. They’re now on the brink of a treble and eighth treble in their history which would be a new record in Scotland and beyond.
