Celtic have an absolute player on their hands and if we didn’t know it already, after Jeremie Frimpong’s man of the match performance against Livingston on Saturday afternoon, we certainly do now.

The youngster terrorised the Livingston players but he also showed his defensive capabilities during the game. Holding off some pretty strong opponents before his pace left them for dead.

The youngster is going from strength to strength since coming into the side back in September. Nobody could have envisioned a wee guy coming up from Manchester City was going to make such an impact just months into his Parkhead career.

To put it into perspective, Jeremie wasn’t even registered to play in the Europa League because it was agreed he was coming in as a developmental project. After a few training sessions under Neil Lennon, the Celtic manager fast tracked his development as he became a surprise starter against Partick Thistle in the League Cup. He’s been used more and more within the last 6-7 weeks to the point he’s unstoppable.

The only reason he won’t play on Thursday against Rennes is because he’s not registered.

He has to play in the League Cup Final!
