SCOTLAND ran riot against minnows San Marino on Sunday night and got a 6-0 win in a dead rubber match.

The game was not one for the collection and will be remembered for the amount of rain which fell on the Hampden pitch making some of the surface very difficult to play on.

For Scotland – it was just good to get a win in front of a very small crowd on the night.

Stuart Armstrong was one of the talking points after the game with the former Celtic midfielder scoring a belter of a free-kick. This prompted some fans to believe Celtic should’ve kept a hold of the player instead of selling him to Southampton.

Some people forget it was Stuart Armstrong who really wanted his Premier League move. The player only signing a one-year contract extension under Brendan Rodgers so he could finish his law degree before heading to England.

His final season was poor compared to the player he was in the invincible season. Used sparingly at Southampton the player’s bank balance looks great but his ability to score belters has been curtailed by his manager.

Would you bring him back?
