CELTIC fans have been reacting mostly positively to the news Scott Bain has extended his stay at the club until 2023 – following James Forrest who signed up earlier this week.

The goalkeeper is still out with a hand injury but has designs on trying to dislodge Fraser Forster once he’s back at it and ready to go.

Many thought Bain could fall by the wayside after Forster coming in and Gordon taking up Cup duties but it shows you how much Neil Lennon rates the goalkeeper by handing him such a long term deal.

The response to the contract extension, as we said, has been largely positive and here’s a taste of what they’ve being saying on social media.

The final comment wishful thinking but we certainly back that call for the duo to be signed up along with Bain and Forrest.

Celtic are in a strong position with a vast squad – if Forster were to get injured nobody would be too worried if Gordon or Bain had to come back in.

  1. After his dire performances when he watched a Tavernier free kick fly past him and then his European nightmare that cost us the Champions League. I’d have preferred that we let him fade quietly the same way that Dorus did. The players we’ve bought from the two Dundee clubs haven’t been good purchases. Im not a big fan of Craig Gordon but he’s a far better keeper.
