Celtic might have a bit of a winning streak going at the moment but a quick glance at the league table will quickly dampen the spirits. The reigning champions have won five of their last six matches and they will be eager to add another three points when they face Aberdeen at Celtic Park in just over an hour from now.

Odsonne Edouard is in rich scoring form at the moment and Neil Lennon needed his French star to deliver the goods at the weekend against St. Johnstone. Celtic were a goal down before a French Eddy brace saved the day. What kind of a game we will get tonight against two unpredictable teams this season is anyone’s guess.

With Shane Duffy been his usual bomb scare self (In A Celtic Shirt) fans will be hoping Stephen Welsh will regain his spot against the Dons. Welsh was stretchered off in the 4-0 win over St Mirren a week ago and fans should probably be happy that he is back in contention already as it looked like a bad injury.

Lennon had made a promise to the youngster that he deserves a starting place when he is fit again after a string of impressive performances, a goal, and a man of the match award.

The Dons travel to Glasgow with no fresh injuries. Florian Kamberi made his debut in Saturday’s goalless draw with St Mirren after getting a work permit.

Celtic have lost just one of their last 17 league meetings with Aberdeen (W14 D2), a 0-1 reverse at Celtic Park in May 2018.

With the teams just announced, this is how the Hoops will line up this evening.

It looks like the manager has kept his word with young Welsh as he comes straight back into the team. Rogic moves to the bench and Scott Brown also drops to the bench for Soro. Brown has not done a lot wrong but fans want Soro getting as much game time as possible.

Kick-off at the earlier time of 6 pm.
