ZENIT ST PETERSBURG are continuing their winter shutdown regime taking on Bratislava in Turkey as they ramp up preparation for Celtic.

The game finished 0-0 but Zenit boss, Roberto Mancini was not concerned. For the Italian, it’s vital his players just get up to speed and that they’re ‘saving their goals’ for the Celtic game.

Asked if he was concerned by no goals in the friendly the Italian replied:

“No, I think that everything is fine, I do not care much about this. The main thing is that we save the goals for the match with Celtic, that’s more important than scoring four or five goals in friendly matches.”

Asked if he felt prepared for the Europa League tie, Mancini feels confident.

“Today was a good match and I’m pleased. As for the game with Celtic, I think it’s still too early to talk about it, there are still almost two more weeks and we have time to prepare and we will prepare. We need to give the squad more playing time and make adjustments to the team in the course of the friendly matches. I believe that we are moving in the right direction.”
