Kieran’s last appearance for the bhoys came in their 2-1 home defeat to Salzburg in December. A hip injury which looked to sideline him for just a couple of games turned into a larger problem.
It’s been a case of trial and error with the physio team treating the player and then seeing how his hip reacts.
The backroom staff have gotten Kieran to a point where he can get back on the training field and hopefully get match fit in the next two weeks. If all goes well, Tierney could turn out against Valencia!
The defender has been missed but Izaguirre has deputised in the left back’s absence. The bhoys have a six point lead at the top of the table and getting one of their top players back will be a major boost.
