Celtic are in the same position as they were a fortnight ago in Pittodrie as they register the first goal of the game for a slender lead.

Against Aberdeen, the Bhoys set back and almost invited Aberdeen into a game they looked like they weren’t up for. Not only did the Dons get the equaliser but they swung all the momentum in their favour and looked the team more likely to get the winner as the Celtic challenge fell flat.

It was late in the game when Celtic finally showed up and grabbed an 85th-minute winner. Ange Postecoglou won’t be looking for that pattern to be repeated.

Jota picked up where he left off in a Celtic shirt with another away day goal today. A cracking through ball from Rogic set the young Portuguese winger up on 17 minutes to give the Bhoys the lead.

The truth is the most exciting thing that happened after the goal was Willie Collum going off injured.

Celtic fans will be delighted that a two-goal cushion came early in the second half today. It only took seven minutes after the break for David Turnbull to score a David Turnbull goal.

The midfielder was giving all the time in the world to hit this cracker into the top corner.

You’d imagine Motherwell would know better.
