CELTIC will take on Lazio in the Europa League on Thursday night and the squad is looking healthy ahead of the tie. The Irishman has a plethora of options for nearly every position and if Celtic play their cards right on the night then three points is very much possible.

One man who Neil Lennon can’t call upon on the evening will be new breakthrough bhoy Jeremie Frimpong. The player came in to take his place in the developmental side on September 2nd with the Europa League squad registration taking place on September 4th. There was no real time to assess the former Man City youth product before confirming the Euro squad.

After two outings – Frimpong looks like he has the talent to become Celtic’s first team full back before too long. However, his development won’t be aided by playing in Europe in the short term. The Right-back will be in the stands for the visit of Lazio but he will have certainly done enough to be considered for the Aberdeen game on Sunday.

We shouldn’t get ahead of ourselves with the youngster because after all he has only ever played two professional games of football. The signs are Celtic have a player on their hands and it’s up to Neil Lennon and the rest of his backroom team to nurture that talent.

Here is Celtic’s full Europa squad:
