BBC pundit Tam McManus has made it clear what Celtic must do in order to win the league this season and that’s keep a hold of Odsonne Edouard.

The players call up to the France under 21 last month has resulted in the player bagging nine goals in four games for his country. With that sort of form he’s catching the eye of many scouts and it appears inevitable Celtic will at least have to field interest in the player this January.

However, McManus believes Edouard is pivotal to Celtic landing nine in a row and believes without the talisman Celtic don’t have much to fall back on with regards to goal-scorers and game changers.

“He’s a player Celtic cannot afford to lose any time soon.” McManus told Peter Martin on PLZSoccer. “I think he’s the most important player at Parkhead just now for Celtic.

“If they lost him, Bayo would come in – I don’t fancy him. Griffiths is still having issues.

“It’s very important Celtic keep a hold of him if they want to win the league this season.”

Edouard has already bagged some important goals for Celtic this season after winning the cup final last term for the bhoys – he’s pretty much picked up where he left off. The player oozes class, is calm in front of goal and gives Celtic a very different dimension when he’s on form.

  1. Does anyone take any heed of that clown?

Giving him airtime on here isn’t a wise idea. The guy is a nobody, who hasn’t won anything and hardly set the heather on fire when he was playing, so who really gives a sh1t what this no mark has to say about anything, he should go get himself a job. Instead of hanging around newspaper offices and tv studio’s like a fart in a phonebox.
