NEW Celtic signing Lewis Morgan has lifted the lid on his move to Celtic and how Arsenal’s FA Cup conquerers, Nottingham Forest were desperate to land him.

The midfielder signed for Celtic last week before being loaned straight back out to St Mirren to continue their title tilt but the player admitted it was not just Celtic who were after him.

Asked if former Ibrox boss being sacked from his Forest role made up his mind about joining with Celtic, Lewis told The Express

“Mark’s departure didn’t really play a part in anything,”

“By the time he was sacked I had already informed Forest this was where I wanted to come. As soon as I knew Celtic were interested that was game over.”

Morgan is tipped for the very top and has all the attributes to make it at Celtic, including the self-belief to succeed at the Champions.

He will now hope to do his bit for St Mirren before heading to Glasgow full time in the summer.

  1. Well done young Lewis. You have conducted yourself with dignity throughout.
Welcome to the club and I wish you many years of success, both personally and as a member of the team. Firstly, I wish you an enjoyable and successful final 6 months with St Mirren, with an honour and a medal at the end of it. Enjoy,
