The draw was made for the 3rd qualifying round this morning ahead of the return legs in each of the 2nd qualifying round ties.

Celtic/Lincoln have been drawn against Astana/Žalgiris Vilnius.

Which means if Celtic can overturn their first leg defeat and get through to the next round they will be heading to either Lithuania or Kazakstan.

The result from Astana/Žalgiris Vilnius first leg is 0-0 so it’s anyone’s guess who will prevail next week.

It’s a big night on Wednesday for Brendan Rodgers and Celtic. This has to be at the forefront of our thoughts and if we get through then we have a tougher team to come.

  1. It is a tough draw but we knew there are no easy draws! The team I wanted to avoid in the draw was the winner of the Rosenborg v Norkopping tie ( we all know what happens when we play Norweigen and Swedish teams!! Half way through their respective seasons) we could have drawn the Israeli champions or another potential awkward team but we will need to get on with it. We have another 11 days before the first leg to obtain much needed fitness and match sharpness, but critically we need a couple of quality signings in now.

  2. THE CLUB HAS WENT TO FAR DOWN THE SCALES A 2-0 WIN ON WEDS FOR ” ROGERS” IS AN ACHIEVEMENT THE REST IS FEARSOME, WERE HAS THE FIGHTING SPIRIT GONE !! VERY SAD CELTIC FAN 🙁
