A social media account claiming to belong to Wilfried Nancy has become an overnight talking point after posting a cryptic message amid mounting pressure on the Celtic manager.
The @wilfriednancy account on X (formerly Twitter) shared a new profile picture featuring a simple Venn diagram: one circle labelled ‘Things that matter’, the other ‘Things you can control’, with the overlap highlighted and tagged ‘What you should focus on’.

The post now has over 3.1 million views and rising.
It’s a message that could be read as composed under stress, but with Celtic’s current slump, some supporters have been far from impressed. If it genuinely is the manager’s own account, it’s cringe and embarrassing and not something that any Celtic manager should be doing.
Players have been shown the door at Celtic for cryptic posts in the past.
Celtic themselves have not confirmed the account on any official channels. Despite that, the account has been referenced in the past by CF Montréal and Columbus Crew, suggesting it may have links to his time in North America. The MLS official account follows it, as do Crew staff, and the profile itself was joined via the Canadian app store in 2011.
Either way, the timing, coming in the midst of a turbulent period for Nancy and the club, hasn’t helped perceptions. Celtic are under intense scrutiny after a run of poor results, confusion over tactics, and fan frustration boiling over both online and in the stands.
If it is genuinely Nancy’s voice online, it won’t quiet the critics anytime soon.
