October was a good month for Glasgow Celtic. The team seems to have turned a corner winning 5 games out of 6 and drawing the other. It is funny after such a good run of results that all the focus is on the 0-0 draw at the weekend.

Celtic have also started picking up 3 points on the road again after months of failed attempts. One other major positive that can’t be pinpointed with stats or league tables was the return of absent players to the first team giving Ange a bench with options for a change.

Juranovic, Johnston and Forrest all returned to first-team action towards the end of the month and there is more good news coming from the Celtic manager today when speaking with Celtic TV (Clip Below) about the return of Christopher Jullien.

“Yeah, it’s too early for him and his recovery.  Again, we have got to be careful with him.

“We want him back. He’s gonna be an enormous asset for us when he does get back but you know long term stuff we just want to make sure that he’s absolutely right. He’s not too far away but for a game like this tomorrow. He’s nowhere near ready.”

A fully fit Christoper Jullien will be like a new signing at this stage of the season, in a position that is desperate for some cover. That been said Carter-Vickers and Starfelt have looked solid for the month of October. With Jullien coming into the picture it will put pressure on everyone else to keep their levels of performance to the highest standard.

The £7m defender hasn’t kicked a ball for Celtic since a freak collision with a goal post put him on the long term injury list last season. The injury might be healed but the player still has a way to go to get match fitness and learn how to play under a new manager who likes his defenders to play ball.
