It might be my inquisitive nature but I’m still looking for an answer to the reason why Scott Sinclair has dropped off the face of the earth. Many will not be bothering at this point and it’s the type of question you ask when things are going badly but I’d really like to know how Scott Sinclair went from first team player to an afterthought in such a short period of time.

It was at the start of the season when Celtic rolled out the numbers of the treble – hailing Scott Sinclair as one of the architects of the amazing achievement. The top goalscorer over the past three seasons with 52 goals contributed between the first and third treble. The Englishman’s form has never been bettered since his first season but his application and guarantee of goals was still there the past two seasons.

Neil Lennon has gone a completely different direction this season and once protected by Rodgers, Sinclair finds himself out in the cold. Celtic extended his deal at the start of the season making sure Scott would be here for another season but it seems like that was only to get a deal put through for him on deadline day. A move never materialised and the player stayed put.

If there has been falling out it’s unlikely we would hear about it in public. However, if there hasn’t been to see Scott being put so far down the pecking order a poor Lewis Morgan is keeping him off the bench is pretty poor.

He still has a lot to give and would be a useful substitute if nothing else.

Why is nobody asking the question?
