We updated Celtic fans earlier on Sunday about the current injury situation at Celtic with SEVEN players carrying injuries at the moment.

Daizen was one of those seven and his injury has now meant he will play no further part for Japan this international break. The winger didn’t get on during Japan’s match on Friday and had been training along to try and get up to speed.

It hasn’t worked out and he will now go back to Lennoxtown to assess the damage and see what can be done ahead of the title run-in.

It’s the business end of the season and the relentless nature of Celtic’s style of play means there is higher risk for niggling injuries.

We have to hope the physios have things under control at Lennoxtown and the bhoys are in good shape come next weekend in Dingwall.

Celtic fans will get an indication of where everybody is at when Ange sits down in front of the media on Friday next week.

Daizen has been brilliant for Celtic this season, especially after the World Cup. To lost him for any period of time would not be ideal.
